Oo great question Jenny. The first place that comes to mind would be Taberna Sal Grosso. Great, wide menu of modern Portuguese share plates but also quite chill and casual with great prices. I’d avoid the original Alfama location as the small space echoes with noise – go for São Bento instead. For something a little more chic, maybe try Oitto. Hope that helps!

Good (and tough) question! I’d say choose one from three categories:

– A relaxed, modern tasca – after going traditional, see how young chefs are playing with Portuguese cuisine. I’d try Velho Eurico or Sal Grosso.
– Third, go for seafood – Ramiro is a classic and a winner with locals and visitors.
