If you only have a couple of days in Portugal, it will be a lot of travel to go from Lisbon > Lagos with multiple stops along the coast – but maybe you prefer time by the beach to time in the city. Hi Tori! Tricky question as it really depends on what you enjoy doing! Going south the focus is really on coast, beaches, and seafood, plus you could drive via Evora. North you’ll experience coast + Porto is very different to Lisbon. Given that you’re quite tight with time, I’d lean towards going north as the Algarve is 100km long stretch of coast and once you arrive you’ll want more than 48h to explore! Day 5 you could spend the whole day driving north, making a 2-3 stops, then see the best of Porto Days 6-7. Hope that helps a little!
